I have no doubt that those techniques could be used out of tournaments to hit hard. Tournaments are about speed and accuracy.

Is he hard on his students? Yes a bit too much, this may he’s been an agreed upon increase in application intensity by his students for the demo. Unless we know all the details behind the scenes just appreciate the information for what YOU can glean from it. Otherwise enough with the “he’d better never try that on me” bullshit.

Love watching Sir Bill Superfoot Wallace videos.. Learning always 👍👍👍👍👍

  • @sickali

Saludos

This style is great! I'm noticing this is being implemented into MMA now and it just proves that there's something of value in all martial arts that could be transferred over or modified to work in combat sports.

A little bit unrealistic, you need to be super fast to hold on to the arm, I think Sifu should go through what to actually do when they snap hands back, I'd use some more silat ideas like invade the opponents space, if my arm is still contouring his or flowing with it, lock it under armpit, step around his back and step forward for the shoulder lock idk but Sifu should make a video that details this longer than less than 2 minutes

They are all 5th dan but do not demonstrate knowlege of the concepts of marriage of gravity, rotational tourque, contouring, or borrowed force. They also did not drop their height zone or their opponent's height zone at all. I am trying to give constructive criticism, you need to go back to the basics and apply pricncipals and concepts to the motion.

I had the distinct honor of meeting Sensei Oyata at a Seminar out in Kansas City during the 80s. Correct what Peter demonstrates is nothing close to what Sensei Oyata was able to do...When you saw what he did, you thought it was fake....But when did it on you, it just blew you away.
